Privacy Policy
Last updated:
ClockIt Parents ("ClockIt", "we", "us") provides a parenting-time and visitation documentation app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app or this website, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, provided through Google or Apple sign-in.
- Case and schedule data: case details, parent and child names/nicknames, and the custody schedule you create or confirm.
- Records you enter: logged exchanges and parenting-time events, timestamps, notes, categories, and messages you send within the app.
- Uploaded documents and evidence: court orders and any photos, screenshots, or PDFs you attach to a record.
- Payment information: subscription and purchase status. Payments are processed by Stripe and/or the App Store / Google Play; we do not store your full card details.
- Technical data: basic device and usage information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core features: schedules, calendars, event logging, calculations, reports, and record verification.
- To authenticate you and keep your account and records secure.
- To process subscriptions and Verified Record Package purchases.
- To maintain the integrity of your records (tamper-evident history).
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, cloud hosting, secure file storage, and payment processors such as Stripe), and only as needed to provide the service. Data you deliberately share within a case (for example, with a connected co-parent) is visible to that person. We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secured servers and encrypted in transit. Uploaded original documents are preserved unmodified. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Data retention
We retain your records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Because ClockIt is a recordkeeping tool, records are designed to be preserved and are not silently altered. You may request deletion as described below.
6. Your rights & account deletion
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can request account and data deletion at any time by emailing hello@clockitparents.com, or by using the in-app account deletion option where available. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
7. Children's privacy
ClockIt is intended for use by adults (18+). It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for their own accounts. Parents may record information about their children as part of their own custody records.
8. International users
Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app you consent to this processing.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
